Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American singer, songwriter, and TV host who became known as a pop rock star following having won the telecast talent show American Idol in 2002. Clarkson was born in Burleson Texas (a suburban area within Fort Worth), where her talents in singing were first noticed by her 7th grade choir teacher. Upon finishing high school, Clarkson relocated into Los Angeles, where she was unsuccessful in her attempt to enter show business. When she returned to Texas her name was announced as a contestant on the first season of The Fox Broadcasting Corporation's American Idol, a singing show that let the audience vote for their favourite performer. Clarkson received a lot of praise from viewers due to her captivating voice and funny sense of humor. Clarkson won $1 million, and an agreement recording for RCA as her prize.
