Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles to a middle-class family. She grew up having big hopes. Her best roles include the spy action film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic dramatic Precious. At the age of a girl she was raised in an Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mother was a movie enthusiast and urged her to enjoy films as a child. Paula loved participating in school co-curricular activities, and she was a huge fan of drama. She loved performing in stage productions together with her fellow students. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided acting was her preferred career. She enrolled at the University of Southern California in a summer program and thoroughly was awed by her experience. She was awarded an assignment by PBS to produce documentaries over the course of three months. She began her career as a television production assistant after completing this assignment. In the following years, she transitioned to the production of documentaries. The work was enjoyable but was determined to be an actor. Her acting debut came through a role as a support in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Since then she's been in a variety of movies and shows.
