She is the daughter of Harvey Welker, a Native American father, as well as Julie Welker, an African American Mother. She is the mother of a real-estate agent, while her father holds a degree in engineering. She attended the Germantown Friends School in the city of Germantown in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood in 1994. Following her graduation of Harvard College in 1998, she enrolled at Harvard College and earned her Bachelor of Arts. Welker was married John Hughes in Philadelphia, who was known as a marketing director. The couple has two daughters. They began an affair in 2014. John the husband of John is 4 years older.
